liked - location; five minutes from station, ten minutes from old city. breakfasts were good; plenty to eat, lots of time to eat it and friendly staff. rooms were said to have been recently refurbished, but ours was tatty, paintwork scratched etc. We ordered a suite, there was a sofa, but most uncomfortable.T.V. set was old fashioned and too little a screen for proper viewing, despite the area of the room. No tea/coffee making facilities in rooms and we didn't want to use the bar as there were many smokers there during our stay. |

Our shower was broken and the hotel fixed it the following day. The owner’s daughter indicated she would give a discount for the room, but denied stating it upon checking out. Very dishonest!! |

Location is excellent. Poor reception when I arrived late in evening. I was booked into the worst room in the hotel. Uncomfortable bed. Website misleading - there is no restaurant only a breakfast room |

Breakfast was very good and generous. The evening desk clerk was particularly helpful and friendly. Construction next door made it noisy bright and early every morning, when we needed to have our windows open to get in cooler air. |

Staff were very helpful and friendly.The location was good being a 10 - 15 minute walk from the Old town. A minor point, but as previous reviewers have stated, the pillows were far too soft. I asked for extra pillows and the staff were happy to oblige which helped. |

Rooms not as expected. Renovation taking place when website stated recently refurbished when booked in January 2008. No access to garden, poor access to bar due to work tools being stored. Reception area unsafe at times due to workman working overhead with cabling. |

It is very near from train station and other important places to visit in Salzburg. The rooms are very confortable and clean. The staff helps in the resrevation and recomendations of tours and visit in the city. |

The quietness. The bathroon. The balcony. The charming, friendly, helpful and professional staff. The convenient location. The steps at the entrance. Not easy at the end of a tiring day with heavy luggage. |
